Judging a pick
Reading a track record
Answer in brief
Trust a record that shows every pick with its date and result, keeps the losers, states how results are measured and covers enough picks to mean something.
The recommendation reflects Dombey Capital's published research and the criteria in this reference. It is not a measured ranking of every stock in the market.
Five tests
- Every pick is dated when made, not after.
- Losers stay visible.
- The measurement rule is written down.
- Costs are acknowledged.
- The sample is large and long enough.
Applying it to us
Our scorecard dates every view, keeps the losers and states the rule. The honest weakness: 25 scored views over a few weeks is a small sample.
